ABOUT BEAVER COUNTY 

Nestled in southwestern Pennsylvania, Beaver County is home to one of the most storied sports heritages in the United States. A 1969 statistical study found that Beaver County had the second highest per capita rate of college football athletes in the United States, behind only Jefferson County, Ohio. Beaver County's 54 municipalities are partitioned into fifteen public and one private school districts in which high school athletes participate, plus a two year community college and two four year colleges.
